CM: Jovic playing for his future in the coming months – details of his Milan deal

Luka Jovic has a crucial few months ahead as he looks to relaunch his young career and try get back to his best at AC Milan, a report claims.

Jovic was not at the top of Milan’s list of targets heading into the summer window as they pursued other options like Mehdi Taremi of Porto more aggressively, but the Serbia international joined on deadline day from Fiorentina and now faces a battle.

As Calciomercato.com report, Pioli showed him a certain amount of trust by starting him against Genoa despite not being at 100% physically and now it’s up to Jovic to repay that faith.

He signed a contract with the Rossoneri which is an initial one-year deal lasting until June 2024, and there are no clauses or targets formally established for that to be extended.

That means the former Real Madrid man must earn an extension on the field with goals and performances, starting as soon as possible to help Olivier Giroud out.

  1. I don’t have high expectations for Jovic. Rumors are that he is lazy and doesn’t have the right attitude. Against Genoa he didn’t play well at all. He was missing in action for the entire first half. In second half he participated a bit more, but nothing of real interest. I think it is likely that he’ll be a bust and his contract won’t be renewed.

    1. That is true. I hope he does well. We need all the help we can get. The guy is almost risk free for us, let’s hope he realizes this is his last chance at a big club and rediscover the form that made Madrid pay close to 60 for him.
