CM: Juventus beat Milan and Benfica to Kaio Jorge – the amount they will end up paying

By Oliver Fisher -

Juventus seem to have finally overcome competition from AC Milan in the race for Kaio Jorge, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com reports that the official status has not yet arrived, but there appears to be a signature in place from Kaio Jorge and his agent Giuliano Bertolucci that acts as security for Juve, as a pre-contract. It is an agreement that will start on 1 January 2022 and expire on 30 June 2026 and their blitz of recent days has defeated the competition.

Milan had also satisfied the requests of the player’s entourage, while Benfica had an agreement with Santos for the immediate purchase on the basis of a €5m fee, but Juve have secured his signing and are now working on proposing compensation for the early arrival this summer.

Juve will pay about €5m to his agents and another €1m to the family of the 19-year-old, in addition to the long contract. Max Allegri wanted a fourth striker and Jorge could join up early, with the Bianconeri having tabled an offer that overall does not exceed €2.5m, more or less half of what Benfica had put on the table.
