CM: Juventus want swap deal with Milan involving winger and defender – the Rossoneri’s stance

Mino Raiola is currently in Italy and he has discussed a possible swap deal involving Alessio Romagnoli and Federico Bernardeschi, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com reports that Bernardeschi has been out of the plans of Juventus for some time and with his contract expiring in June 2022, a crossroads is approaching regarding his future. Romagnoli’s deal also runs out in 2022 and he has been overtaken in the depth chart by Fikayo Tomori.

Therefore an exchange of the Italian duo, from a financial point of view, would allow both clubs to budget a good capital gain, at the same time getting rid of two players who from a technical point of view are not considered indispensable.

Juve are the most keen on doing the deal but it has to be completed by 30 June, which is when the Bianconeri must raise €100m in capital gains by. From the Rossoneri’s point of view there is some resistance as Bernardeschi is not a profile they appreciate, with the likes of Jonathan Ikoné, Florian Thauvin, Josip Ilicic and Riccardo Orsolini more appreciated.

Therefore, Milan are looking more at the technical aspect of the deal and not the financial side of things but if we were to arrive at the end of June and nothing has changed, then the opportunity to make a capital gain could also tempt the Rossoneri.
