CM: Kalulu set for five-fold pay rise as Milan eye important renewal

AC Milan aren’t just expected to renew the contract of Fikayo Tomori, but also his defensive colleague Pierre Kalulu. Having arrived on a free from Lyon, the Frenchman’s current salary doesn’t exactly match his performances.

Back in the summer of 2020, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara swooped in as Kalulu’s contract with Lyon expired. They only had to pay a compensation fee of around €400k to secure the defender, and it has turned out to be an absolute steal.

Of course, Kalulu was an unknown youngster to many at the time and he thus received a moderate contract by the Rossoneri. His current salary, in fact, is just €400k per year and that is not a lot compared to his teammates.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Milan are well aware that a pay rise is justified and they will soon begin negotiations for a new contract. The idea is to renew Kalulu until 2027 and give him a salary of €2m per year, a five-fold pay rise.

Kalulu knows that Stefano Pioli appreciates his qualities a lot and thus has no doubts about the future at Milan.
