CM: Kalulu’s role at Milan for next season not yet clear – loan exit cannot be excluded

By Oliver Fisher -

One player who will be looking to build on his excellent first season at the club is Pierre Kalulu, but there are some question marks on his role.

Kalulu participated in the Olympic Games with France, but Les Bleus disappointed as they finished third in a group with Japan, Mexico and South Africa and were eliminated. The defender played all three games from the first minute as a centre-back, with a different partner in each game that didn’t help matters.

Calciomercato.com writes that in the national team Kalulu was used in his natural role, while in the past season he represented a useful alternative as a right-back. The former Lyon man is trusted by the management and currently occupies the position of playing for fourth-choice centre-back with Matteo Gabbia, behind Simon Kjaer, Fikayo Tomori and Alessio Romagnoli.

Pioli could use him again on the right side but Milan are searching for a new right-back. The idea of sending him out on loan is an option for the moment that is not even being remotely considered, but if Dalot were to return this path could also open up.

  1. Kalulu is great, he can play on both left and right and in the center, he is young, talented and seems hardworking. If they loan him, it should be a dry loan, because next year he will be a monster.

  2. Milan should play him instead of bringing in Dalot and develop him for Manchester United. We need to build and play our players.

  3. If Grand master pioli isn’t going to play him this season, send him out on a dry loan to guarantee playing time.

That boy needs to play and develop, don’t keep him stunted.

Send Daniel out on a season long loan as well
