AC Milan ended their preseason campaign with a 4-2 win over Serie C side Novara at Milanello earlier today, following up yesterday’s 4-0 win over ES Sahel.
Calciomercato.com have picked out some of the key performers from the game for good and bad reasons, starting with Samuel Chukwueze whose dribbles and shots caused chaos for the opposing defence, and he got a goal with a lovely composed finish after rounding the goalkeeper.
Back from injury, Davide Calabria took the armband and generally had a positive outing from a condition point of view, even scoring with an excellent strike from distance.
Noah Okafor also got his name on the scoresheet and demonstrated some sharp movement and good understanding with both Chukwueze and Luka Romero.
Simon Kjaer made a mistake on the first goal, keeping the ball alive for Novara who took advantage of it, and it is clear he needs to regain form. Alessandro Florenzi had a difficult afternoon too, even gifting a chance to Novara with a poor pass.
Tommaso Pobega was outperformed comfortably by Yunus Musah as the former Torino man was often caught unprepared when he had to help the defence. His error made it 3-2, so he took needs confidence.
Well neither are starters, but yes this does go to show we need another fullback and CB.
These 2 should have been the first players to have left, the are injury prone and a liability to the team, Maldini and Massara should not have signed Florenzi and Messias last season.
Because DUH! It’s Florenzi and Kjaer….. Combined age, speed and skill of a frozen burrito.
They won’t play u less we are desperate
