CM: Lack of wins and leaking goals – Milan a ‘horror film’ on repeat

It is fair to say AC Milan have started the season abysmally, and this has been picked up on. The fans are not happy, mistakes are repeating, and the pressure is growing, quickly.

Milan have not had a difficult start to the season, they have played three games where three points are the expectation. Perhaps, you could be slightly more lenient about a draw against Lazio at the Olimpico, though.

Whilst they did get a draw in the capital, context from the previous games meant that frustration was the feeling, rather than an acceptance. The Rossoneri conceded twice, but in reality, they conceded the same goals, again.

Exploited down the wings and simple goals. A continuation of last season’s frustrations about goals conceded, and this season already seems to be set to end in disappointment, if the first three are anything to go off.

As Calciomercato.com writes, ‘the music has not changed’ from last season to now. In the last 12 games, there is one win to recall. The first three games of the new season have brought two points – the club’s worst start in almost 100 years – and six goals conceded.

Looking to film, the report recalls a phrase from Alain Delon, which highlights his inability to change his destiny in a time of peril – something which the Diavolo are struggling with. Although a new coach rules, there is no change, and if it has, things have worsened.

Milan, as the report suggests, no longer know how to win. A repeating horror film – 24 goals conceded in 12 games. The repeating vortex of negativity that continues to swirl around the club, most recently this weekend with Leao and Theo’s absence from Fonseca’s team talk.

Change is needed, but change looks painfully far away.
