CM: Lazio not giving up on pursuit of Romagnoli with recent meeting held – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

Lazio’s attempts to sign Alessio Romagnoli have slowed down but have not completely stopped, according to the latest update.

Calciomercato.com have published an article talking about Lazio’s desire to sign a new centre-back this summer given that Luiz Felipe will be leaving on a free transfer, and the first name on the shopping list remains that of Romagnoli.

The negotiation has slowed down in recent weeks but there is the will on the part of the player to wear the Lazio shirt, given that they are the club he supported when he was growing up despite becoming part of Roma’s academy.

There is still a slight distance between the offer on the table and the demands of Romagnoli and his entourage, but also the desire to find a meeting point and reach a total understanding. There have been recent contacts between the parties too, with the hope of a positive conclusion.
