CM: Leonardo convinced Paqueta to snub PSG in favour of AC Milan move

AC Milan sporting director Leonardo played a pivotal role in helping the club land the signing of Lucas Paqueta, according to a report.

The Brazilian starlet has hit the ground running since his arrival from Flamengo in January, notching his first goal for the Rossoneri in Sunday’s 3-0 win over Cagliari at San Siro.

It was widely reported in the Italian media that Paqueta snubbed a move to PSG in order to join Milan, and Leonardo seemingly played a big role in that decision.

Calciomercato.com report that Leonardo convinced his compatriot to join the club by telling him that he would immediately have a central role at the club, something that he may have struggled to do in Paris where there is bigger competition in the middle of the park.
