Ruben Loftus-Cheek could get the chance from start in AC Milan’s game against Napoli and if that ends up being the case, he will be looking to end a negative run against Scott McTominay.
Loftus-Cheek has struggled big time with injuries this season, missing 22 games in total, and it’s hurt Milan in certain games. Now, however, the Englishman is fully recovered and has looked good at Milanello during training.
He came off the bench in the 2-1 win against Como, but he hasn’t played a game from start since December 3rd (Coppa Italia clash against Sassuolo). As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, he could thus get his first start under Sergio Conceicao at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Furthermore, taking a look at the opponents, Scott McTominay has faced the Englishman seven times in his career and has never lost: four draws and three wins. That incöludes the reverse fixture this season, which ended 2.0 in favour of the Partenopei.
In other words, Loftus-Cheek will not only be looking to impress after a long absence but also to end his negative trend against the midfielder. That being said, it remains to be seen if Conceicao actually will give him the chance from start tomorrow.
McTominay will outrun him easily. RLC might get injured again.
You can’t compare Mctomminy to RLC, one is a headless chicken and one is an actual footballer.
Conte just uses McTomm to run non-stop to cover up for the lack or work rate for more creative players, he is just a donkey
You’re an id*ot. That is the nicest compliment I can give you. If Milan had a player like McTominay that runs and tracks back, but also has 6 goals and 4 assists in Serie A, Milan wouldn’t be 9th but in top 4. What a mo*on. Imagine, a midfielder that runs, what a bad player. Try learning football basics. You have that book made for you “Football for dummies”. Even better for you “Soccer for dummies”.
