CM: Maignan’s agents set to meet Furlani – the latest on his renewal

AC Milan are working to try and secure the renewal of Mike Maignan, with a meeting expected to happen later this month.

Calciomercato.com writes that Maignan is among the best five goalkeepers in the world in terms of his technical quality, leadership and the continuity of his performance level, which is something Milan are aware of.

Negotiations to renew Maignan’s contract – currently set to expire in 2026 – began about ten days ago. The first talks between the parties were over the telephone and served to gather impressions and ideas on how to plan the future.

Within 15-20 days Maignan’s agents will arrive in Milan for a first summit with Rossoneri CEO Giorgio Furlani and it is from there that we will learn more about where things stand.

The report acknowledges that there have been links with Chelsea and PSG in the media, something that shows other teams are aware of Maignan’s qualities, and this has only intensified the Rossoneri’s pursuit of an agreement.
