CM: Maldini in talks with Man Utd over permanent deal for loanee who arrives just one month ago

AC Milan are in talks with Manchester United over the permanent signing of Diogo Dalot, according to a report.

The Rossoneri secured Dalot as their final signing of the summer late in the window, as the Portuguese full-back arrived on a season-long dry loan deal from United.

Dalot amassed a gorgeous assist and his first goal for the club in the 3-0 win over Sparta Praha, and there have been suggestions about his loan being made permanent, with Fabrizio Romano claiming that Milan are convinced that they have made a great coup in Dalot whose future will be evaluated throughout the season.

Calciomercato.com have published a feature about another one of Milan’s right-backs in Andrea Conti, claiming that there are no plans to offer him an extension on his contract expiring in 2022, with an interesting reason given.

They claim that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have ‘opened a negotiation’ with Manchester United to sign Diogo Dalot on a permanent basis a month after his arrival on loan, a ‘wake-up call’ for Conti that ‘pushes him to do more’.
