CM: Maldini informs agent of Milan’s interest in Argentina star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are prepared to launch a bid for Udinese star Rodrigo De Paul in the January window, according to a report.

The 25-year-old had an impressive campaign last season, amassing nine goals and eight assists in the league alone and attracting interest from a number of clubs in the process.

A report from Calciomercato.com in August stated that De Paul was one of the names being considered by Milan to reinforce the midfield, while Napoli and Fiorentina were also linked.

Udinese were apparently asking for as much as €40million for the Argentina international though, something which likely scuppered any chance of a potential deal.

However, Calciomercato.com are reporting that Milan director Paolo Maldini is ‘a big fan’ of De Paul and has even told his agent Agustin Jimenez that the Rossoneri are interested in his client.

In addition, their report adds that Udinese are now asking for just €25million for their man, something which makes a January move a lot more likely.
