CM: Maldini makes stance clear regarding Juventus-Milan swap deal involving Romagnoli

Milan director Paolo Maldini has reportedly decided not to entertain a potential swap deal involving the Rossoneri and Juventus.

Despite having been one of the club’s better and more consistent servants since arriving back in 2015 from Roma, the last few months have not been the best for Romagnoli with several clouds currently hanging over him.

There are suggestions that he could leave this summer as the Italy international has struggled for form in 2021, having battled injuries. In addition to this, his contract expires in June 2022 meaning his future is reaching a natural crossroads.

According to what is being reported by Calciomercato.com, Maldini has said no to the possibility of an exchange with the Bianconeri which would involve Romagnoli. The suggestion was that right winger Federico Bernardeschi would come the other way from Turin in exchange for the Italian defender, but it is a deal that Maldini is not willing to entertain.
