Milan probing the idea of keeping Diogo Dalot for one more year after what was a relatively successful 2020/21 campaign. However, it has been put on hold due to the right-back’s call-up to Portugal.
As Joao Cancelo tested positive for COVID-19, Dalot was brought in as a last-minute solution. The Man Utd-owned full-back had only just gone on holiday after featuring in the U21 Euros for Portugal, but was forced back into action again.
Regarding his future, as reported by Calciomercato.com, Milan are probing the idea of keeping the full-back for at least one more year. In fact, they have made their first offer for Man Utd to consider: a loan with an option to buy.
The English side, however, would like it to be an obligation and the talks have been put on hold for now. It’s the same with the figures, which haven’t been discussed in detail, but it’s clear that Man Utd want at least €18m. New contacts are expected after the Euros.
