CM: Man Utd to pay above €40m clause but less than €15m commissions for Zirkzee

AC Milan will not welcome Joshua Zirkzee as their new number nine given that he is bound for Manchester United, and some terms regarding the deal have emerged.

The most talked about potential signing throughout the month of June related to Milan was Zirkzee. Most sources agreed that the Rossoneri had communicated to Bologna their intent to pay the €40m release clause present in Zirkzee’s contract and agreed terms with the player.

What’s holding back the deal is the request of his agent Kia Joorabchian on commissions. The first request for €15m was rejected and it seemed that when Manchester United entered the race everything went quiet on the Milan front.

Now, Calciomercato.com are reporting that the deal between United and Zirkzee – through the central figure of Joorabchian – is now a done deal. Milan’s summer dream is undergoing medical checks with the Red Devils and will soon be announced.

The Premier League club will pay just over the €40m release clause and the reason for this was in order to be able to pay in instalments rather than in a lump sum.

To that amount, €10m in commissions for the player’s agent must be added, and that amount is the reason why negotiations with the Rossoneri had stalled.
