Florian Thauvin’s future with Marseille is yet to be decided as his contract will expire next summer. There isn’t much time left for the French side, in other words, to renew the contract and lock down their star winger.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan have had the Frenchman at the top of their list for a long time. Ricky Massara, the Rossoneri’s sporting director, likes the player a lot and tried to sign him as early as this past summer.
Milan have already received the ‘yes’ of Thauvin and a transfer is a concrete possibility. The 27-year-old’s entourage is in constant contact with the Rossoneri and have already warned that Marseille could make an attempt to renew.
The Rossoneri, though, remain the most serious candidate for the winger even if there isn’t an agreement on the figures. The first offer is a four-year deal worth just under €3m per year, while Thauvin wants €5m.
Given his desire to wear the red and black shirt, he could decide to lower his claims and join the San Siro side, Marseille permitting.
