CM: Massara heading towards a job with Milan’s rivals after summer exit

By Oliver Fisher -

After leaving AC Milan at the end of last season, Ricky Massara could get another job in Serie A and with a club that he certainly knows very well.

Calciomercato.com write how Massara’s presence certainly did not go unnoticed last Sunday at the Stadio Olimpico during Roma’s 7-0 demolition of Empoli, something that ended up costing Paolo Zanetti his job.

The former Milan sporting director is still without a contract after he and Paolo Maldini were controversially sacked back in June and is evaluating various options to return to work as early as the current season.

Massara was named as director of football of Roma in October 2016, taking over from Walter Sabatini. He re-joined Sabatini at Inter and Jiangsu Suning, before returning to Roma in June 2018 as the club’s general secretary.

Now, Tiago Pinto wants to bring him back to the capital again as he has a deep respect for Massara, and the two would like to work together to build an even stronger Roma with news expected in the coming weeks.
