CM: Messias must do more to convince Milan – the cost of a permanent stay

By Isak Möller -

Junior Messias arrived as a last-minute solution for Milan in the summer and despite the low value of the player, it wasn’t a permanent transfer. Therefore, the Brazilian still has work to do to convince the Rossoneri.

Thus far, the winger has found the back of the net four times in 15 appearances. He has had some impressive performances, such as against Atletico Madrid, but he has also had some really poor ones. Something that is making Milan hesitate.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri paid €2.6m for the season-long loan that brought Messias to the club. The buy-out clause is set at €5.4m and there is also €1m in bonuses, meaning the total cost could be €9m.

Messias knows that he needs to do more to convince Milan to spend the extra €5.4m in the summer, especially since a right-winger of higher calibre could arrive. It’s a player that will be interesting to follow after the break, in other words.
