AC Milan winger Junior Messias was forced to come off during the pre-season friendly against Real Madrid with a muscle injury, whilst talks continue about his departure.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, the Brazilian winger is going to be assessed in the next few hours to see how serious the muscle injury is.
He had to withdraw after just half an hour against Real Madrid in California. He was replaced by Luka Romero who very quickly scored a superb goal to put Italy 2-0 up.
If Messias has picked up a serious injury, that could cause issues for his expected departure from the club. There are talks ongoing with Torino about bringing Wilfriend Singo to Milan, with Messias going the other way.
It has not been ruled out that they could be two separate negotiations, but it is always harder to sell a player who is facing a long spell on the sidelines.
