CM: Milan big admirers of Argentine talent Messi singled out for special praise

Nico Paz has had a great start to the season with Como and now he is earning praise from Lionel Messi no less, while AC Milan are watching him closely.

Calciomercato.com relay Messi’s words after Argentina’s rout of Bolivia earlier in the week: “Nico has many qualities and understands the game perfectly. He has an impressive mind and works with a coach who is a friend of mine [Cesc Fabregas] who will help him grow a lot more.”

The endorsement for Paz comes directly from the arguably the best player of all time, after he got an assist for the Inter Miami star during the 6-0 win. Nico joined the Real Madrid youth sector in 2016 and from that moment he has risen to the point of playing for Los Blancos’ first team.

A goal against Napoli in the Champions League preceded the fascinating choice to accept the ambitious project of Como, who invested €6m to sign him permanently. However, Paz remains under the control of Real Madrid who have guaranteed themselves 50% of the future resale and a buy-back clause.

Real Madrid are enthusiastic about the growth of a player who, after having already provided several assists, is looking for his first goal in Serie A after having come close to doing so on several occasions. His future depends on Carlo Ancelotti who is very tempted to bring him back, a bit like with Brahim Diaz.

There are two technical characteristics that are most impressive in Nico Paz’s armoury: his quality in one-on-one situations and his long-distance shooting. Milan are one of the clubs that are following him with great attention, while Napoli were left impressed in the recent meeting with Como at the Maradona.

In reality, many clubs from the Premier League are also interested in the Argentine international. Real Madrid, however, have no intention of losing control of him and are happy to see him grow at Como, meaning it could be only a matter of time before he returns to the Santiago Bernabeu.

  1. Fûcking real. They got guler, diaz, jude, this kid, and they’re buying that German next summer. Forgot his name.
How many am players do you need?

      1. It’s because they are a team that wins. If we win the league 3 times in a row and compete at a high level in champions league players will die to play here too.

Winning solves everything because winning means you have a good culture, great coaching and great locker room.

        1. Who Vogel? Vogel was playing lights out the season before we got him. There was no shortage of suitors that season for him. The problem was who was he going to replace in our star studded team? Pirlo? Seedorf ?
Man United wanted him irrc (to this day my lil bro, a man Utd fan, hated that we got him knowing we were already stacked there) and that would have completed their midfield perfectly. But back then we had a money bags Prez and brought players at will and due to our clout and pull at the time. We were like the Real/City team. But back to Turtles point…how many players do they need? How ever many they want…just like us back then. Gourcuff and Vik were also wanted by Wenger at Arsenal. They were very sought after players too, and yet we got them instead

  2. Arsenal and Chelsea want to sign him, I’m just gonna accept that we ain’t getting him, especially since we always offer 20% less than the amount teams ask for, even when it seems like that asking amount is even to little

  3. I think we should be more interested in defensive talents, or at least players that can help control our midfield

  4. No Chance. The kid’ll go to one of the money clubs and then go out on loan in a couple of years after his career has stagnated.

  5. Nico is an exciting talent and a stellar prospect. But once interest heats up in a player, Milan give up and start looking elsewhere.

And then in retrospect “Oh man, we should have signed him”
