CM: Milan aim to take squad to next level with free signing of Marseille star

By Isak Möller -

Milan clinched three important points at San Siro earlier today, scoring four past Crotone to reclaim first place in the league standings. And with the summer approaching fast, work is already underway to reinforce the squad.

The Rossoneri have surprised everyone this season and are still fighting for the Scudetto, nine points clear of fifth place. A return to Champions League is getting closer, in other words, and reinforcements are being planned for the summer.

Stefano Pioli already has a competitive squad, for the most part, but the right-wing position could do with a new player. Alexis Saelemaekers has impressed, but the same can’t be said about Samu Castillejo. As reported by Daniele Longo, Milan have a Frenchman in sight.

The player in question is Florian Thauvin, whose contract with Marseille will expire in the summer. He could be the right man to reinforce this squad, as Longo states, and Milan are in constant contacts with his agent about a move.
