By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are getting closer to being able to welcome Alessandro Florenzi as a new signing from Roma, according to a report.

According to Calciomercato.com, Florenzi’s move to Milan is now ‘very close’ and is in fact ‘one step away’ from becoming completed. The Rossoneri have reached an agreement with the player over personal terms and are confident of concluding the operation in the next 24-48 hours.

Contacts with Roma have also gone according to plan and the capital club have agreed to the idea of a loan with option to buy which will become an obligation upon the achievement of certain conditions.

Pioli will thus have an experienced player able to cover more positions on the right area of the field, given that the Italy international can play as a right-back, a right wing-back and even as a right winger if needed. He will arrive after winning the Euros with Italy, too.
