CM: Milan aiming to seize opportunity to sign Argentina U20 star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have set their sights on signing teenage forward Luka Romero from Lazio on what would be a free, according to a report.

Romero was one of the protagonists of the U20 World Cup which was recently played in his native Argentina. He played four games in the team management by Javier Mascherano, the same amount of games he played for Lazio in the whole Serie A season.

As Calciomercato.com report, his contract expires on 30 June 2023 and the negotiation for the renewal – due to high demands from his agents over commission – means that he will leave on a free transfer.

The player himself is frustrated at the lack of use by Maurizio Sarri and is ready to change scenery. Romero will be released in 16 days, but even today he could sign on a free transfer with his next club.

His agent is examining various offers such as a potential return to Argentina, a move back to LaLiga where he has numerous admirers or even staying in Italy.

Milan are also moving for Romero who believe in his talent and have sensed the opportunity to seize a free transfer. At 18 he already has experience and the potential to grow. However, it will be up to the playmaker to decide based on the prospects of playing time.

    1. And that’s a crazy number, but that’s what to expect from free transfer business. But factor that into a 3/4/5 year contract and it’s a free transfer for a highly touted prospect (not completely free as there’d be a training payment due to his age)… does it work out to a decent deal on an annual basis?

    2. Hey Yelnats I think it was you who wanted a scouting on Ndka in the Napoli game but I wanna say someone else caught my attention and that was Lindstrom. He’s young, decision making sometimes sketchy but nothing he can’t fix with the right help. Has good pace. Can play wing or support striker equally well imo. Can pass well (tho at times quite suspect but I also wonder if that’s because in a team like Frankfurt there’s less consequences for misplaced passes).
You should check him out. I’m not sure why he’s not on anyone’s radar though

  1. Dario Osario is another young RW talent if Milan is interested in that type of profiles. I think Osario is even more suited for Pioli tactics. Tall, fast, left footed and has shooting power at the age of 19.

  2. Sell or loan junior to give this kid room . He have bright future and wonderkid. Even with signing fee 5m euro still worth
