CM: Milan and Conti make their stances clear as two rival clubs show interest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will now try and resolve the sale of Andrea Conti given Alessandro Florenzi’s imminent arrival from Roma, according to a report.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Florenzi is ready to become a new Milan player which means Conti is waiting to know his future. The Italian knows he is outside of the Rossoneri’s plans and printing for his name and number is no longer available on the online store, which is a sign that his days at the club are numbered.

The former Atalanta star has been in the sights of Sampdoria for some time as Roberto D’Aversa wants him, having coached him at Parma, while there was interest from Cagliari which immediately cooled.

Now, another club has come forward in Sampdoria’s city rivals Genoa. Both the club and the player have clear ideas on what must happen: Milan want close to €5m in order to sell him and avoid a capital loss, while the player wants a four-year deal at his new team. Sampdoria are on pole while Genoa think about it, with Milan and Conti waiting.
