CM: Milan and Inter fall behind in striker race as Fiorentina plot swap deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan may not have the chance to try and sign Andrea Belotti on a free transfer as Fiorentina are planning a swap deal, according to a report.

MilanNews among other sources have recently reported that the management are looking at the post-Ibrahimovic era, and Belotti has proven to be a valid and prolific player having netted double figures in league goals in each of the six seasons he has been at Torino, so he is a target.

He would be a potential free transfer given his contract expires next June which means paying the Italy international an important salary, but he is a fan of the club since he was young.

Calciomercato.com however report that Fiorentina are on pole to land Belotti in January, and they are working on an exchange with Sofyan Amrabat. Inter and Milan are thinking about a move next June when his contract will expire, with the Rossoneri ahead for the player’s approval.

  1. well its not like its torino and fiorentina who dictates where he ends up so im still fairly confident that he will end up with us one way or the other.

  2. I don’t think Belotti would like to play for Fiorentina after Torino. It is not an upgrade at all. Same level club, same problems, same goal to stuck somewhere in the middle of the table.
He obviously wants challenges in a top club.
