CM: Milan and Real Madrid intend to discuss multiple players during meeting – the possible names

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Real Madrid are set to hold a meeting soon to discuss the situation regarding Brahim Diaz, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com reported earlier in the month that Milan are very happy with the impact Brahim has had since joining on a season-long loan, as he has scored three times for the Rossoneri but is also appreciated by the management for the intensity of his training.

He added how a meeting with Real Madrid will soon take place to set up a negotiation and understand the situation a bit better, with the possibility of his loan being renewed until 2022 with an option to buy and subsequent buy-back clause in favour of Real.

The same source have published an update claiming that Milan and Real Madrid will take stock of Brahim soon, but the intention of the two clubs would also be the intention to broaden the discussion to other players.

Therefore, ‘new business’ cannot be excluded, and from this we can pretty safely infer that the Rossoneri may have their eye on other players from Los Blancos that could be useful to their cause.

Who could it be? Well, it has been stated by multiple outlets that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are keen on signing a deputy to Zlatan Ibrahimovic in January, so Luka Jovic and/or Mariano Diaz could be talked about.

In addition to that, Milan are also believed to be in the market for a new centre-back, and it shouldn’t be ruled out that Nacho Fernandez’s name may re-emerge after he was linked in the summer.

Finally, Calciomercato.it reported earlier today that Lucas Vazquez could be an opportunity for the Diavolo, given the winger is currently set to leave Real Madrid on a free transfer because they have no intention of renewing his contract which expires next June. January therefore could represent a last opportunity to monetise his exit.
