The drastic change in management with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara’s sacking will also see the strategy alter for the upcoming transfer window, a report claims.
According to what is being reported by Calciomercato.com, the Maldini and Massara era is over and now a new regime will bring forward new ideas that are different from those of the previous directors.
For example, the idea of signing Marko Arnautović from Bologna appears set to completely disappear. While he is considered a strong striker and a potential leader, he is also a profile not in line with the club’s philosophy.
Investing €7/8m in transfer fee plus wages for a centre-forward who is 34 years of age is not the right kind of way to spend money, at least according to the vision that RedBird Capital have.
Now, it seems that Marcus Thuram is a profile that is liked a lot. The French international striker will leave Borussia Mönchenglabdach on a free transfer and has all the right characteristics for Stefano Pioli’s system.
The head coach will be increasingly involved in choices when it comes to signing, but for Thuram there is a lot of competition and the negotiation has yet to begin, but Milan will try.

Good news, arnautovic too old
So it goes from mediocre to mediocre.
From impossible to possible vs epl
So an over rated player that is injury prone. But hey he’s a free transfer so let’s make him our top priority for a striker. What a joke
injury prone player that has 2600+ minutes.. And just hit his prime. Yeah, what do you know…
Even if he does not work out, selling him in 2025 can net 20M easy
Every year there is always some kind of bs during the summer. I’m just going to stop having hope in the summer because they always frustrate me
Guys Marcus Thuram is actually a good player
16 goals and 7 assissts in 32 games in all competitions this season
he is 25 (26 in august) and 1,92 m and worth 32 mio according to transfermarkt.
If we get him I would be more than happy for our main striker
They don’t have the money
That include a hattrick against a 5th tier German team at cup competition. Without it, it’s just 13 goal in 31 games.
Yes, but Borussia Mönchengladbach had a very bad season – they scored in total 52 goals in Bundesliga
it does not mean that Thuram is not a good striker, he is french and with Giroud, Theo, Mike, Kalulu, Bennacer, Adli and the belgian players we have so many French speaking players – he could settle quickly into the team
all in all that would be a good transfer comapred to Marco Arnautovic
If he is going to be our 3rd striker, I’m okay with it. But what we need is a star striker better than Giroud, one which can lift the level of the team.
CDK.
18 goals and 10 assists in 49 games in all competitions last season (20/21) for Club Brugge.
He was only 21 at that time and worth 30mil according to transfermarkt.
Now he was deemed as “bad” investment.
He’s only 22 years old.
And the end of the day – stats don’t matter.
With what money and I doubt he will take a wage cap restricted salary of 4M when EPL clubs will likely offer close to double that

Yes lets shift our attetion to a player were several reports said he wants 7 million euros from is next club sure we are gonna break our wage cap for a new player that has proven zero sh it and even before he does something important for us becames our highest paid player above Leao!
Makes sense.
His demands has been rumored to be 7 mil a year so this deal would exceed the salary cap whom cardinalle hasnt shown much willingness to go beyond so it seems like nothing but a rumor.
7m? LOL, wow. It’s amazing how inflated salaries, agent fees and transfer fees have become. People don’t understand this and just expect owners to drop bags of money. Outside the EPL and PSG it is difficult. It almost justifies the “moneyball” approach. It’s the only way you can build a squad without going hundreds of millions into the red just to try to compete with the EPL.
Yeah nothing comes for free not even free transfers.
I can understand the approach of buying young players while cheap but it should also be in combination with some marquee signings each year so the team keeps developing properly.
I agree. The truth is even young players with potential are worth a staggering amount. nothing under 30 million unless we snatch them the first season they show potential to perform.
Anybody but Origi!!!,
How can anyone have complaints about this having Rebic and Origi in our squad
Good news, Loftus Out, Arnatouvic Out no money to waste on faded talents. But Maldini needs all the due respect despite some of his unhelpful decisions.
