CM: Milan aim to continue youth philosophy – €45m Arsenal and Schalke duo admired

AC Milan’s philosophy of investing in young talent will not cease in the coming months and years, and they have two midfielders on their list of transfer targets according to a report.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan’s philosophy always remains clear: to remain highly competitive in Italy and Europe by trying to build a squad that always has a multi-year plan. To succeed above all in this last aim it is necessary to scientifically insert young, talented players who have room for growth.

Charlie Patino is a name that the scouts have identified as fitting the vision. Since his first steps in the Arsenal Academy, great things have always been said about his qualities. He is a playmaker with great speed of thought, is naturally left-footed and is skilled in particular at providing assists.

This season Patino is on loan at Swansea City in the Championship from Arsenal and he has one goal plus four assists for the Welsh club. Stealing a talent from one of the richest teams in the Premier League will be tough, which is why he has a €25m price tag.

The Rossoneri management could attempt to try and sign the 20-year-old if they fail to reach an agreement with Rade Krunic in the negotiation for the renewal of the contract.

The other talent that is attracting a lot of interest is Assan Ouédraogo, a midfielder who combines an excellent physical structure with good technique. To sign the 17-year-old, the German club will probably have to lower the amount of the clause (€20m), but Milan want to continue its investment policy on young talents.
