AC Milan are determined to add a new striker in the summer transfer window and there are five targets shortlisted, according to a report.
Calciomercato.com write how despite that fact that the renewal of Ibrahimovic is one step away and regardless of what Mandzukic’s future will be, Milan are looking for a new striker who can work in the shadow of the Swede and grow as his deputy before taking the role full-time.
The favourite at the moment is Dusan Vlahovic who has had an excellent year with Fiorentina scoring 12 goals in 27 Serie A matches. He is a player with enormous potential and is considered the most similar to Ibrahimovic, who funnily enough is Vlahovic’s idol.
An alternative who offers guarantees is Andrea Belotti as he has reached double figures in league goals in all six seasons with Torino. His contract is expiring in 2022 and that alarms the Granata, with Milan observing the situation.
Then there are three profiles abroad. During talks with Mino Raiola, the Rossoneri have repeatedly talked about an Eredivisie duo, namely AZ Alkmaar’s Myron Boadu and PSV Eindhoven’s Donyell Malen. Their profiles perfectly follow the vision dictated by Elliott on the market.
Finally, there is Odsonne Édouard of Celtic, who has 16 goals in 26 appearances in the Scottish Premiership despite a difficult season for the Glasgow club.
