The Champions League has always been one of the most important showcases for various talents around Europe, and AC Milan will use the competition to keep an eye on some players.
According to Calciomercato.com, a huge number of scouts and observers will be at the Estadio Da Luz stadium to follow Benfica versus Red Bull Salzburg tonight, two teams who are known for producing and developing talent.
The report mentions that Milan will have a scout present to watch two players above all. The first is Roko Simic, the son of Dario Simic who is a former centre-back for the Rossoneri.
His son plays as a centre-forward and he is a big unit at 1.90m tall. Paolo Maldini was an admirer of his, but chief scout Geoffrey Moncada is following him, as well as Sassuolo.
The other player that has caught Moncada’s eye is Tomas Araujo, a central defender who was the captain and leader of Benfica in the UEFA Youth League final they won in 2022.
After a year on loan at Gil Vicente, he returned to Lisbon to carve out some playing time, and the Rossoneri scouting department are keeping an eye on him.
Dont need Araujo, Simić might be ok in 2-3 years
Araujo seems more like a CDM than a CB to me. He is too good on the ball to play as a center back.
pioli is the problem
Ur right man
True
Simic is also a big Milanista and was born in Milano.
are you telling me that our defence in the future might be Simic – Simic?
Roko is Šimić,Jan Carlo is Simić so not the same 🙂 ,but still i hope to see them in 2,3 years in our starting line up,Roko is really talented, the injury only stalled his process a bit,but he will a great striker in years to come,i bet on it.
We should buy him as soon as possible before the PL clubs just pay few milion more then we can afford…
Benfica don’t sell players for cheap. Doubt if Milan would cough out what they ask for
