CM: Milan and Bennacer awaiting signals from Saudi Arabia – the latest

AC Milan could yet make one more signing to complete the midfield department, a report claims, but everything revolves around Ismael Bennacer’s fate.

Calciomercato.com report that a large part of the end of Milan’s summer mercato depends on what the developments will be regarding Bennacer, which translated means whether he stays or is sold before the deadline.

The Algerian knows that it will be difficult to get a starting spot this season more so than any other season with the arrival of Youssouf Fofana and the growth of both Tijjani Reijnders and Yunus Musah, so he is reflecting on the possibility of a move to the Saudi Pro League.

Milan are still waiting for written offers from Saudi clubs for Bennacer. The most interested club are Al-Qadsiah who have Nacho and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with some intermediaries working to convince the player over terms and then to turn to Milan.

What emerges though is that the Saudi side plan to offer less than half the value of the €50m release clause that is in Bennacer’s contract, which is obviously not what Milan would hope to earn from a player who has still been very important to them.

With the money from the possible sale of Bennacer, the Rossoneri would likely make another signing but it is unlikely to be Manu Koné of Borussia Mönchenglabdach. Yesterday the Frenchman said goodbye to the fans because he has an agreement with another club, but it doesn’t seem to be Milan.
