CM: Milan will use international break to properly analyse injury struggles

The injury situation went from bad to worse for AC Milan yesterday afternoon as both Rafael Leao and Davide Calabria had to withdraw from the game against Lecce. Therefore, during the break, Stefano Pioli and his staff will focus solely on the injuries.

Milan have had around 24 injuries since the start of the season and a good majority of them have been muscular. In short, it’s holding the Rossoneri back and will need to be solved, otherwise it will be very tough for them to compete for a top-four finish.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan have no intention of sacking Pioli but will hold an open debate will all parties involved about the injuries. The priority during the break, in fact, will be to get to the bottom of the injury struggles and what can be done to solve them.

An in-depth analysis will be carried out at Milanello to understand what hasn’t worked in the last 30 days, with the hope of finding a solution to reverse the negative trend. As said, Milan will need their key players to finish in the top four this season.

The Rossoneri will take on Fiorentina after the break and it remains to be seen if Leao will be back for that game. His injury will be assessed today and after that, we will know more.
