Sven Botman is the primary target for AC Milan’s defensive department and talks are ongoing with Lille to discuss the matter. However, it’s not certain that the Dutch international will arrive this month.
The Rossoneri really want Botman to reinforce their defence, not just short-term but also for the future, and are thus willing to wait until the summer as well. This seems to be the most realistic option for the time being, given Lille’s stance.
According to Daniele Longo, there are continuous talks between Milan and Lille over the potential transfer. The Rossoneri have ‘excellent confidence’ that a move will materialise and if not for this month, then in the summer.
Longo also added that Milan are working on bringing in a young striker as well, considering the early exit of Pietro Pellegri. The latter will return to Monaco and then join Torino on loan after just 127 minutes played for the Rossoneri.
