CM: Milan confident of signing No.1 defensive target as PSG open the door

Paris Saint-Germain have finally opened the door slightly regarding a potential deal for centre-back Abdou Diallo, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, sporting director Ricky Massara is in no hurry and wants to complete the squad with two signings (a defender and a midfielder) but on favourable conditions. The main focus is all on a new central defender, with Diallo on pole Japhet Tanganga of Spurs in the background.

Milan and PSG have kept contacts alive thanks to the work of Diallo’s agent who is doing everything possible to facilitate the transfer of his client to Italy. The Rossoneri wants the Senegal international on loan with an option to buy, and with the Ligue 1 champions to cover part of his €3.5m net salary.

A first opening came from the Parisians, and the parties will speak again over the weekend, but there is confidence on the part of Milan that they will be able to positively close the deal.
