CM: Milan confident regarding Donnarumma’s renewal despite PSG’s pursuit – the latest figures

AC Milan are locked in talks with Mino Raiola over the renewal of Gianluigi Donnarumma while Paris Saint-Germain circle, a report claims.

As Calciomercato.com writes, the deadline of 30 June 2021 in Donnarumma’s current contract is getting closer and closer, now Milan must accelerate and secure his renewal despite what is a race against time because of the economic requests of Raiola.

The agent wants a two-year contract at €10m net per season while the Rossoneri management have tabled a five-year contract at €7.5m a year – an offer that the club considers significant, a necessary effort to lock down what could become the captain of the future.

Milan are absolutely calm and confident that they will soon reach an agreement, helped by the fact that Donnarumma’s clear will is to stay, but that does not remove the fact that there is currently no sign of white smoke and that is beginning to entice some of Europe’s top clubs.

PSG have wanted Donnarumma for a number of years and back in 2017 the Sheikh Al Khelaifi tempted the then-teenager with a very big offer and a whole series of privileges like a limousine for travelling to Paris. A swap with Alphonse Areola plus €20m was offered, which Milan rejected without any hesitation.

Now their sporting director Leonardo is back and is being informed by Raiola with the aim of signing Donnarumma. Milan could further improve their offer with the addition of bonuses to reach around €8.5m per season. Except for sensational twists, Donnarumma will soon renew his contract.
