CM: Milan convinced Brazilian represents best profile for the right wing – he has overtaken Thauvin

AC Milan have changed their strategy regarding their pursuit of two potential free agent targets, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com writes how Milan are continuing to work on trying to sign Otavio on a free transfer, as he would like to leave Porto at the expiry of his contract in June to try a new experience in the Italian league. Roma are also interested in Roma as coach Paulo Fonseca who knows him well and appreciates his qualities.

Otavio wants to wear the Rossoneri shirt though, honoured by the interest of such an important club, and he has turned down two rich offers from clubs from the United Arab Emirates because he is waiting for Milan.

Directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are convinced that the characteristics of the former Internacional star are perfect for the job that Stefano Pioli asks of his wingers: speed with or without the ball, quality in dribbling and application even in the non-possession phase.

Not only that, but Otavio has surpassed Florian Thauvin in terms of preference to sign as there is a slight slowdown in the talks regarding the Frenchman even if the negotiation with his entourage has not completely failed. A pause for reflection both of a technical and economic nature, as Thauvin wants a salary of €3m.
