CM: Milan could move on from Celtic star as Lennon refuses to change his stance

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could give up on their pursuit of Celtic star Kristoffer Ajer as their manager Neil Lennon wishes to keep him, a report claims.

Ajer is one of the names that continues to be linked to Milan who are desperate to sign a new centre-back given how stretched the department is at present, with Alessio Romagnoli, Mateo Musacchio and now Leo Duarte all out.

Lennon has admitted on Wednesday that while he can do nothing about the speculation, no bid has arrived and the player will be considered available for selection while that is the case.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com reporter Daniele Longo, Celtic head coach Neil Lennon does not want to lose Ajer before the transfer window closes.

As a result, Milan may ‘loosen their grip’ and move on to other targets as they wish to get a defensive reinforcement in as soon as possible rather than wait until the final hours of the window.
