In the summer, AC Milan are expected to make some changes to their squad, especially in the midfield. Except for Ismael Bennacer, Hakan Calhanoglu and perhaps Rade Krunic, no one is safe.
This is what Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo is reporting. The Rossoneri are keen on a squad overhaul – with Ralf Rangnick in pole position to become the new manager – and the midfield needs upgrading.
In order to raise funds, Lucas Paqueta has been placed on the market. Fiorentina are very interested in the Brazilian and president Rocco Commisso has accelerated the negotiations to reach an agreement with Milan and the player.
Benfica are also in the running as they can offer Florentino Luis in exchange, a player that the Rossoneri have followed for a long time. From the sale of the former Flamengo star, Milan want to collect around €35m.
As Longo continues, this money could then be used to go after Brescia’s Sandro Tonali and RB Salzburg’s Dominik Szoboszlai, who are the primary targets for the midfield.
