AC Milan are aiming to wrap up a deal for Joshua Zirkzee this week with a breakthrough potentially being made on the agent’s commissions.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri are still intent on signing Zirkzee from Bologna and the situation seems to be reaching a make-or-break point.
Milan know that they can sign Zirkzee for €40m thanks to a release clause that will be made active between July 1 and July 15, and there is little problem with convincing the player to make the move.
Zirkzee thinks Milan is the correct next step and now he just needs the club and his agent to find an agreement on commissions, a tedious element of modern transfers.
The next few days of negotiations are expected to be crucial and the player’s entourage were seen at Casa Milan on Tuesday. The problem has been the €15m commission that agent Kia Joorabchian has been demanding to facilitate the deal.
The final decision when it comes to how much money Milan will pay the agent falls to Giorgio Furlani, and nothing has suggested so far that he does not back the idea of signing Zirkzee.
Milan will do what they can to get the deal over the line this week.

If he really wants Milan as some reports suggest, he can ditch his agent.

Is he a potential great striker though? Or is he a skillful guy who’s good at working in a team and bringing others into play. I think he could be excellent for Milan, but he’s not a prolific ‘score goals from nothing’ profile like Martinez or Vlahovic or many top strikers – we’d be relying on Leao, Pulisic and Chukwueze for goals.

I disagree. Zirkzee had 12 goals and didnt have leao or pulisic next to him to send in crosses or key passes. Zirkzee with the right support can be a 20 goal scorer no problem.

You’re right, in theory. With a better cast, Zee should in theory be able to do more. But the human element is unpredictable. However when he played against us, the lights at San Siro didn’t seem too bright to blind him.
Quick question. Iet say the management me at 10M with his agent. Will his new market value be 50M with a pay of 4.5m or will the management add a far more higher clause of over 80-95M given he will hit 20+ goals under fonseca only if healthy throughout most of the campaign?

His agent were NOT in Casa Milan yesterday and in fact, there was a phone call occurred between his agent and our board, not a meeting in person.

Just go after Gimenez or the striker from Girona and be done with this drama, if we wait too long we might miss other good strikers, Palvidis is already going to Benfica. 40 mil for Zirkzee is already way too much for a promising stiker, I say promising because he still didn’t proved anything yet but paying 15 mil to his agent is ridiculous… that’s enough money to renew Theo and Mike if Zirkzee wants to come he should change his agent, let them play their stupid games if Arsenal or United are not coming to take him and pay 15 mil comision he will stay at Bologna for another season and without Motta and some good players from Bologna that are going to be sold he might not get another good season then see who is gonna pay 55 mil, that greedy agent is risking his career.
With 15m we can use it towards signing another player like a defensive midfielder or center back. That would be the smartest thing to do instead of wasting it on Zirkzee especially considering the fact that he’s not a number 9.
Our wingers don’t need any help scoring goals. So the idea that Zirkzee will have an impact on our wingers is beyond ridiculous to me.
What we need is a striker who can finish off the chances created by our wingers and we have seen time and time again that our wingers cross a lot of balls into the penalty box so it would make more sense to sign a striker like Artem Dovbyk from girona instead of Zirkzee.
Noah Okafor is a center forward who does similar movements to Zirkzee so what’s the point in risking 55m investment on a player with just one decent season?

Just want to add one more key factor on Zirkzee’s deal, is that he has one year experience in serieA, unlike other strikers. In this case one year experience is crucial bcz other league strikers will need time to get adjusted in an italian leauge. We need to consider this fact.
Maybe zirkzee will have 5m given from Kia commission so he will stance…

Well he already surprise me when he renew leao while ppl here say leao will leave free transfer. But for zirkzee i dont think he can get him with 5m euro fee agent. Kia already said pay that or leave .
