CM: Milan defender closing in on four-year renewal with pay rise – the figures

In addition to Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu, whose contracts will expire this summer, Milan are also focusing on a few other renewals. That is, of course, to avoid situations similar to the former two.

Davide Calabria is one of the players that will expire in 2022 and considering his successful season thus far, it will be important for Milan to lock him down. According to Calciomercato.com, an agreement is very close between the parties.

The Rossoneri are ready to renew his deal until 2025 and will increase the salary from the current €1.1m per year to €1.7m excluding bonuses. This is a solution that the right-back seems satisfied with, which you can understand since his salary would be doubled.

It remains to be seen if Calabria will continue his good form until the end of the season, which Milan sure could need in the Scudetto race. Diogo Dalot hasn’t exactly impressed as the backup, which has to be considered as well.
