CM: Milan determined to sign a new winger – €30m Lille star among three candidates

AC Milan are determined to improve the right side of their attack ahead of next season by signing a new winger, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com writes that one of Milan’s main summer targets includes an attacking winger on the right, capable of playing in 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3. They must be able to increase the quality of the department from a technical standpoint and offer solutions that Milan do not have in Samuel Castillejo and Alexis Saelemaekers, both of whom are not consistent nor the most gifted technically.

Castillejo has scored once in the league and twice in Europe, while the Belgian has scored three goals, two in the league and one in the qualifying stages of the Europa League. The balance they offer in the non-possession phase is important, but all this is not enough.

At the top of the list of targets is 28-year-old Marseille winger Florian Thauvin, who will not renew his contract expiring in June. Otavio – a 26-year-old Brazilian playmaker who continues to say no to offers from Porto regarding an extension.

Jonathan Ikoné of Lille is another player that Milan really likes, but he would cost €30m. Three names, three hypotheses and one certainty: a change will come on the right.
