CM: Milan down to final details for Ibrahimovic’s renewal – announcement imminent

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored 15 goals in 15 league appearances this season, at the age of 39, and he isn’t expected to go anymore. Instead, he’s all set to renew his contract with Milan for one more year.

The striker, who will turn 40 in October, just made his comeback in the Swedish national team and with Milan currently in second, he could be back in the Champions League as well. Per Calciomercato.com, a renewal with the Rossoneri is indeed close.

It seems the new agreement will have the same salary, that is €7m, but there will also be some bonuses based on the number of appearances and team achievements. The parties are now down to the final details and then it’s time for the announcement.

For now, though, Ibrahimovic will have to remain focused on the season as Milan have just ten games left, currently six points behind Inter. The Nerazzurri have a game in hand but reaching them isn’t impossible for Stefano Pioli’s men.
