CM: Milan face ‘complex situation’ regarding Man Utd loanee who is ‘very happy’ at the club

By Oliver Fisher -

Diogo Dalot wants to stay at AC Milan into next season but Manchester United’s demands make things difficult, a journalist has claimed.

Dalot joined Milan on a dry loan from United at the beginning of the season and racked up 33 appearances for the Rossoneri during the 2020-21 season including 21 in the league, but given there is no option to buy included as part of the deal it has left his future uncertain.

Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com describes it as a ‘complex situation’ in his latest update on Twitter, claiming that Dalot is ‘very happy’ at Milan and that he would like to stay. The Rossoneri management are also happy with his contribution and they consider him a full-back with great potential.

However, the stance of Manchester United is making things difficult as they are asking for €18m to sell the former Porto star permanently, a figure which has made Milan pause and reflect.
