CM: Milan fans need to put Barcelona move aside – Kessie remains a key player

By Isak Möller -

Franck Kessie started on the bench for Milan’s game against Bologna but he came on in the second half. And given that he will leave the club for free in the summer, it wasn’t the warmest of welcomes.

The Ivorian midfielder has been at Milan since the summer of 2017 but he has now decided to leave the club, as his contract will expire in the summer. And Barcelona will be his next destination, having already undergone the medial.

As highlighted by Daniele Longo in his latest piece for Calciomercato.com, Kessie was booed and whistled by the Milan fans as he came on yesterday. The fans are entitled to their opinion on his departure, but booing him is not the right move.

At this stage of the season, with so much on the line, Pioli needs all of his players ready and differences will have to be put aside. The Rossoneri fans, therefore, must realise that Kessie remains a key player in the Scudetto race and booing him won’t do any good, as Longo concludes.
