CM: Milan have strong interest in Saint-Etienne star but €30m asking price is set

AC Milan will now turn their attentions to signing a centre-back after securing three signings, according to a report.

The first official signature of the summer for Milan came in the form of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s renewal, an important statement for the Rossoneri as they have managed to keep hold of an icon.

On Wednesday Brahim Diaz is expected to land in Milan to finalise his arrival, and by the weekend the club want to try and get Sandro Tonali and Tiemoue Bakayoko through the door too.

Calciomercato.com report that the management can now think about the next month of the market with more calm, but the goal is still to reinforce the defence.

Alessio Romagnoli and Simon Kjaer have formed an effective partnership but Mateo Musacchio is injured, Leo Duarte still needs to be fully evaluated and could say goodbye and Matteo Gabbia could be loaned out.

Fiorentina’s big asking price for Nikola Milenkovic – at least €40million – means that the Rossoneri have turned back to Wesley Fofana.

The player is a protégé of chief scout Geoffrey Moncada, but the Ligue 1 club have set their asking price at €30m.
