CM: Milan have two main candidates to replace Donnarumma as renewal talks stall

By Isak Möller -

Gigio Donnarumma was one of the standout players in Milan’s 3-1 win against Parma last night, making several good saves to deny the home side. However, his future with the Rossoneri is very uncertain due to an expiring contract.

The goalkeeper is a key player in Stefano Pioli’s side but the Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara haven’t been able to reach an agreement with his agent, Mino Raiola. The contract will expire in June and time is running out for the club.

According to Calciomercato.com, as they don’t want to be caught unprepared, Milan have started to look at potential replacements and they have two main candidates. They are Mike Maignan (Lille) and Juan Musso (Udinese).

It remains to be seen if an agreement can be reached between Raiola and Milan, as Donnarumma surely wants to remain especially if they can secure Champions League qualification. Then again, the negotiations are very complicated.
