CM: Milan seriously trying to hijack Roma’s deal for French defender with talks ongoing

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have entered the race to sign Evan N’Dicka on a free transfer and they are hoping to beat Roma to his signature, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com write that Roma are looking to close the arrival of another free transfer after Houssem Aouar by signing N’Dicka. The Giallorossi have been working for some time to try and land the Frenchman, but now they face competition.

In the last few days Milan have tried to hijack the deal. The management are aware that Roma have not yet closed the deal despite having a verbal agreement, and are trying a last minute blitz to convince the defender.

There have been continuous contacts even in the last few hours, and now Milan – after having reached an advanced stage in talks over Daichi Kamada – are trying to complete a double Eintracht Frankfurt swoop.

N’Dicka’s salary in Germany is around €700k net per season. Roma have identified him as a possible replacement for Roger Ibanez who could go to Atletico Madrid, while the Diavolo see him as a good left-sided defender available on advantageous economic terms.

  1. Unfortunteley Maldini misse on Ndicka

we were linked to Kamada, Arnautovic and Ruben Loftus Cheek.

Now we are linked to Tielemans, Ndicka and Thuram.

I still hope that we might get Ndicka, but it might be to late.

However, we should not waste time and get the deals for Kamada, Thuram and Tielemans finalized asap, so that Pioli can start to plan the pre-saision prepartions and the players can go to vacation with a clear head!

    Forza Milan!!!

  2. True, it needs to be unpaused though. We need to make better use of free transfers like Thuram, Ndicka, Tilemans, Kamada, Arsenio etc. Not just lose players to a Bosman. And maybe Scamacca on loan

Also, just heard on the radio Mason Greenwood available for a loan. Perfect for the right side of our attack – morality aside.

  3. With Maldini gone and Liverpool interested, not sure if Kamada is happening. But we really do need that deal by any and all means we have now. N’dicka will happen Only if we sell tomori and guarantee him a starting spot. Otherwise it won’t happen.

  4. “Hi Evan, we know you’ve been talking to Roma about their strategy for using you and how you’ll be integrated as an important part of the squad for several months and weeks and yes, we have no sporting director and we’re not quite sure who is in charge here and we do have five centre-backs on the books with no obvious sign of selling one……

….. but what do you say you change all those plans you’ve made? “

  5. Why do we need a defender?

We have a limited budget, a massive squad and struggled with attack last season so can we please focus.

  6. Have you guys seen him in action? DFB Pokal? Quite the let down by being suspect on both goals, no? I hope he was more consistent during the season but from that game he seemed solid apart from the goals which is ironic because you gotta concentrate for the entire game.
Also Kamada was in that game..seems like you’ll get work rate but his strength might be in question..also he takes some risky passes but can control fast balls well on the reception side which was impressive.
Nkunku on the other hand, man his footballing brain is quite good. He knows when to pass vs when to score

      1. Sure I can go look at that game. I looked at the Pokal cup specifically for NDicka, Kamada and Nkunku lol

Btw Kamada seems like a.taller Diaz but with better ball control on passes. Would be interesting to see him in a more physical league as Serie A.
Also Kamada played LW most of the match in a sort of 3-4-3 setup with the left CB being NDicka. I guess he could fill in as a Leao.sub but he did roam around the attacking third .
        Cheers 😁

      2. Not sure if my reply went through but I was saying that I watched Pokal Cup specifically to see Kamada and Ndka.and also Nkunku while I was at it lol.
Kamada was like a taller version of Diaz but not sure about his strength esp in a more physical league as Serie A. He did however play in a 3-4-3 on the left wing so perhaps can fill in for Leao on occasion. He did also roam but during the press he was clearly LW. His ability to control a quick pass is impressive. Ndka was on the left side of the 3 CB. He was sus on positioning on the second goal and deflection came off of him for the first goal which I think could have been avoided because the shot was straight on.

I can watch the Napoli game and let you know my thoughts. Cheers 😁

        1. Nkunku was ofc brilliant. He just knows when to pass and when to shoot. It’s quite impressive really. Decision making in general was good. But on some occasions he need to ease off a bit on the tackle
