CM: Milan hold new meeting over Kessie’s renewal but agreement is still missing

AC Milan have held a new meeting with the agent of Franck Kessie over a renewal but they have not yet reached an agreement, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com writes that Milan sporting director met with Kessie’s agent George Atangana in Bologna to talk about extending the Ivorian’s contract beyond the current deadline of 2022. However, an agreement was not reached and the wait for his signature goes on.

The Rossoneri formulated a new offer, a better proposal than the previous ones but which still does not meet the expectations of the midfielder. Milan are approaching the request with small increases which is an understandable strategy, but it still takes time.

It is for this reason that closing Kessie’s renewal before the end of the market seems unlikely and the parties will have to meet again. If Milan want to keep Kessie they will have to make a little more effort, even if the player’s requests have not changed.
