CM: Milan identify €25m Celtic star as No.1 defensive target – Leicester readying an offer

By Oliver Fisher -

There are currently two obstacles preventing Milan from securing a deal for their number one defensive target Kristoffer Ajer at present.

That is according to Calciomercato.com (via MilanLive), who claim that the Norwegian international is considered an ideal partner to support Alessio Romagnoli.

His agent has already made it known that he will leave Scotland because he is eager to test himself in a more important league, which has attracted the interest of top clubs.

The report claims that there are currently two obstacles Milan most overcome, with the first being the price set by Celtic. The Scottish side are asking for €25million, an amount which is a significant investment for a club like the Rossoneri who must be careful of their budget.

Then the second hurdle is the competition from Leicester City, who of course are coached by ex-Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers, a man who Ajer apparently has a good relationship with. The Foxes are ready to submit an offer and pose a serious threat to Milan.
